Request for Installation or Raise a Service Request
1. Warranty Coverage
Alba Urmet Communications & Security Pvt. Ltd. (“Alba Urmet”) warrants that the CCTV Cameras & Products , Video Door Phone, Digital Door Lock , Electronic Door Locks , Access Control and IOT Products manufactured and supplied with its brand are free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. The warranty is strictly limited to manufacturing defects only, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
These Terms and Warranty are applicable, in general, to the following product model numbers / part numbers that are currently supported by the Company.
2. Warranty Duration
Twenty Four (24) Months from the date of Installation and Warranty Registration . Please refer to Page 4 for details on Warranty Registration process. Upon registration of warranty with Alba Urmet, the company will provide service and support for any manufacturing defects during the warranty period.
3. Warranty Service Terms
Warranty service will be provided at Alba Urmet’s discretion through repair or replacement of the defective product/part. Replacement may be with new or refurbished parts/products, subject to availability. The warranty period does not reset upon replacement; it continues from the original purchase date.
4. Onsite Field Service Charges
The Terms of Warranty do not include costs related to on-site field service visits, transportation, logistics, or travel expenses. All such costs, including but not limited to site visit charges, conveyance, freight, and handling, shall be borne by the customer and shall be payable separately, even during the applicable warranty period.
5. Customer Responsibility
The customer must provide warranty Card duly filled in and stamped by authorized Reseller / Partner, with details Purchase invoice , date and Date of Installation by authorized Partner at the time of service. Products must be used in accordance with Alba Urmet’s user manuals and installation guidelines.
6. Limitation of Liability
Alba Urmet’s liability under this warranty is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of defective product’s value. Alba Urmet shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use its products to Property, Life or Assets. Incidental or consequential damages arising from product failure, including but not limited to loss of data, property damage, or personal injury.
7. Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
This warranty is limited and does not cover;
Damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, fire, flood, lightning, power surge, improper installation, or improper voltage. Physical damage, breakage of parts, glass, outer casings, screens, or tampering with warranty seals. Consumables, accessories, batteries, and external attachments not manufactured by Alba Urmet. Products that do not bear original Alba Urmet branding or manufacturing serial number. Products installed or serviced by unauthorized personnel or third parties. Tampering with warranty seals, product serial numbers, or unauthorized modifications. Consumables and accessories such as batteries, cables, adapters, and external attachments not manufactured by Alba Urmet.
Software or firmware corruption due to virus attacks, unauthorized updates, or third-party apps. Products that have been installed, serviced, or repaired by unauthorized personnel or third-party service providers.
8. Product Discontinuation and End-of-Life Support
In the event that a Product is discontinued and has reached its End-of-Life (EOL), the Company’s obligation to provide service support, spare parts, or warranty-related assistance shall be limited to a maximum period of twenty-four (24) months, provided the warranty registration has been duly completed by the customer. Upon expiry of this period, all service and support obligations shall cease, and the Company shall have no further liability whatsoever in relation to such Product.
9. Definition of Manufacturing Defects by Product Category
a. Video Door phones (VDP)
Manufacturing defects include: Display screen not powering on or showing distorted visuals despite proper power supply. Audio malfunction (e.g., one-way or no sound) due to faulty internal components. Non-functional touch buttons, keypads, or inbuilt microphone/speaker caused by internal defects. Internal camera unit not transmitting video despite correct wiring and installation.
Failure of PCB (Printed Circuit Board), chipset, or internal circuitry under normal usage conditions.
b. Digital Door Locks
Manufacturing defects include: Fingerprint, RFID, or PIN authentication modules not functioning despite proper usage. Locking/unlocking motor mechanism failing under normal operating conditions. Display or keypad not responding due to defective internal circuits. PCB, control board, or sensor failure unrelated to external damage, power surges, or mishandling. Battery terminals or charging module not working due to internal defect (not due to corrosion or use of non-recommended batteries).
c. Smart Door Bells
Manufacturing defects include; Bell unit not powering on despite proper installation and voltage supply. Inbuilt camera malfunction (no video, distorted visuals, or non-detection) under normal use. Speaker/microphone malfunction preventing two-way communication. Connectivity module (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) failure due to internal circuitry issues. PCB or firmware malfunction under normal, recommended usage conditions.
d. CCTV Cameras
Manufacturing defects include; Camera not powering on despite proper voltage and installation. Image sensor defects causing no video output, distorted or flickering visuals. Inbuilt IR LEDs not functioning under low light, despite correct settings. Faulty PCB, lens assembly, or internal circuits under normal operating conditions. Factory alignment issues in fixed dome cameras leading to blurred or tilted imagery.
e. Network Video Recorders
Manufacturing defects include; NVR not powering on with correct power supply. HDMI/VGA output ports not displaying video due to defective motherboard. Recording failure caused by faulty internal PCB ,excluding issues due to hard disks. Network port malfunction preventing connectivity despite proper LAN setup. Factory firmware/hardware issues causing device to freeze, reboot, or fail under normal operating conditions
10. Warranty towards SITC Projects
These Warranty Terms shall not apply to products and parts supplied as part of turnkey SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning) projects executed by the Company. Warranty coverage, maintenance obligations, and service support for products and parts supplied under SITC projects shall be governed exclusively by the specific terms and conditions of the respective contract, as mutually agreed between the parties.
11. External Causes (Not Covered Under Warranty)
a. Mishandling & Misuse
Dropping, hitting, or applying excessive force to the product. Using sharp objects, liquids, or chemicals on screens, sensors, or casings. Improper cleaning methods causing scratches, stains, or corrosion. Forcing open Digital Door Locks with keys, rods, or external tools.
b. Negligence & Improper Usage
Failure to follow installation/operation manuals provided by Alba Urmet. Using the product with non-recommended accessories, power sources, or batteries.
Ignoring error indicators, alarms, or repeated malfunctions leading to further damage.
c. Environmental Factors
Damage due to exposure to water, rain, moisture, or humidity beyond product specifications. Corrosion or rusting caused by salty air, industrial fumes, or chemical exposure. Extreme temperatures, fire, flood, lightning, earthquakes, or natural disasters.Power surges, unstable voltage, or use of non-standard power supply units.
d. Improper Alignment Errors
Door misalignment causing stress on Digital Door Locks, bolts, or latch mechanisms. Incorrect mounting or wiring of Video Doorphones, CCTV Cameras , NVRs and Products Use of incompatible network devices, cabling, or connectors. Installation carried out by unauthorized personnel or non-certified technicians.
e. Operational Deformation & Wear and Tear
Physical warping or bending due to external pressure, improper door fitting, or structural shifts. Normal wear of moving parts such as hinges, handles, or latches not caused by manufacturing defects.
Scratches, dents, or breakage of outer casing, glass panels, or display screens.
f. Tampering & Unauthorized Modifications
Altering or removing serial numbers, labels, or warranty seals. Software/firmware tampering, jailbreaking, or unauthorized third-party updates. Repairs or modifications carried out by unauthorized service providers.

Registering your product ensures a smoother service experience and helps us serve you better throughout the product’s lifecycle.
On submission of Warranty Registration , an email acknolwedgement will be sent , as an acceptance.
